This stack is shareware. It is not free. See below for pricing info.
The concept of shareware is to freely distribute software, and if the user likes it and uses it, he/she should send in the shareware fee.
This stack may be freely distributed but this text document must accompany it.
Requirements:
Hard drive, HyperCard 2.0 or later, System 6.0.7 or 6.0.8 in finder mode (not multifinder), OR Hard drive, HyperCard 2.1 and System 7.
Please be sure you are using HyperCard 2.1 with system 7, or the stack will not work properly. Consult your Macintosh manuals or local guru on how to check system and file versions.
Overview:
Set HyperCard as the startup application and no one will have access to your desktop unless booting from another disk. Initial password to quit is "hello". Do not keep this document on your hard drive unless you change the password, because anyone can load and read this document.
Follow these steps to install the software:
System 6.0.7 or 6.0.8:
1. Rename your existing HyperCard Home stack to something else such as
Home2. Make sure there are no other Home stacks on your hard drive.
2. Drag the Home file from this floppy onto the desktop (root directory) of
your hard drive.
3. Click once on the application HyperCard (not the HOME stack.)
4. Go under the Special Menu and select Set Startup.
5. Finder should be selected, and at the bottom of the window it should
say: Upon Startup, automatically open: HyperCard. Click on OK.
6. Restart the computer.
System 7:
1. Rename your existing HyperCard Home stack to something else such as
Home2. Make sure there are no other Home stacks on your hard drive.
2. Drag the Home file from this floppy onto the desktop (root directory) of
your hard drive.
3. Drag the application HyperCard (not the HOME stack) into the Startup
Items folder in the System Folder.
6. Restart the computer.
No one will have access to the desktop unless they know the password or start up from a floppy system disk.

To remove or deactivate the stack, just boot from a system floppy, change your startup (see above) or delete the home stack and rename your old home2 stack to home.
Revisions:
1.2 - fixed a bug when quitting with multiple HyperCard windows open
1.3 - added a shutdown button ** this might not work with future versions
